How is it that I've had ears my entire life, I have heard birds call and oceans roar. The crashing of waves upon the Sandy shore. I have heard thunder roll and lightning crash. And the sound of a million hearts breaking as the shatter like glass. I ha e heard pain and tears and heard music to. I have had ears all my life yet in the silence with you I hear, I hear, I hear. That's it I hear. Not a passing thing. Not a momentary lapse of quiet interrupted by the clattering, clamoring, colliding intrusions of the world. Murdering my introverted solitude. But with you silence is a melody worth playing time and time again. Not like a CD. Or mp3. Not even the scratching of a needle to wax that the purists find so appealing. Silence with you is filled with the melody of us. The soft skin to skin touch playing like the bow against the strings of a violin. The soft breathes we breathe as we listen to the chords struck resounding in our souls. Breathes rising with a passionate crescendo of grips
