After spending her entire life in the spotlight, all Sophia Rios wants to do for once is be in the shadows. But what happens when one day she's almost killed? 
  
Sophia's father is a Senator of New York who has decided to run for US president. After always being in the spotlight Sophia has decided to have a little normalcy for once. So she's made the choice to go to a university far away from her father's politics. 

However, she never expected to be intrigued by her new, hot, and cocky bodyguard.
  
  
  "Why can't you just leave me alone?!" I yell at him. 
  "You know exactly damn well why I can't!" He yells, stepping toward me, causing me to back up against the wall.
  "Why?!" I say breathless from how close he is, yet I still manage to lace it with sarcasm. "Oh, yeah, it's cause you're my bodyguard! You have no choice!". 
  I'm not dumb. Those words have been running through the back of my mind since the day he was assigned to me. I knew it was the truth but it still hurt to accept it.
  "You're wrong. I can't leave you not because I'm your bodyguard, but... because I'm in love with you. Just the thought of leaving you feels like my heart is being ripped out of my body. Of not being near you, being able to protect you, to keep you safe, would tear me to pieces. You're the reason Sophia. Can't you see I'm completely in love with you!"
  And with that, he closed the space between us.

I step around him and head for the door, "uh I'm going to go to the hospital." I pick up my bag and rush out of the door leaving Noah in the room and saving myself from doing something I would definitely regret and make me change my mind about going back to Pennsylvania. ------------ 'I love you too,' were the last words Sophia heard before she was banished from her home city and she left without a second thought. If she didn't she knew she would be in danger. A month and a half later Sophia returns as a person close to her is in critical condition in hospital. Everyone's eyes are on Sophia, and they are looking for someone to blame. Will she return to her new life and forget about New York once and for all? Or will she fit right back into the McKenzie's life as if she never left? And as for her relationship with Noah, there might be a chance for romance after all.

Closing the door behind me, I ran a hand through my hair. She truly was a nightmare. A bad boy's worst nightmare was a girl that made him want to be a good one.
