Seventeen and living with no one other than his best friend in the small ocean town of Del Mar, Evan's past is something he wants to run away from, just as he did from his foster home.  
    
    Madeline, a blonde-haired, in-the-closet philosopher, grabs Evan by the scruff of his neck and drags him into a life he never thought possible, with a few puppies, old enemies, and over-protective brothers involved.  Not to mention it's their senior year, which brings enough stress about college alone.  Something's a little twisted in this story, and it isn't the pretzels from Gloria Reese's snack shop.All Rights Reserved
