Dear Amelia,

When my parents gave me a typewriter for my birthday I wasn't surprised. Turn out when you flunk English and both your parents are English professors it tends to ruffle a few feathers.

My parents have never been ones for ceremony, they simply stuck on a bow and left the typewriter on my desk.

They told me to write.

And I thought of you Amelia.

I'm not sure what it was that made me think of you Amelia. But I did.
