The first girl in the Glade - the one who wants to get out the most. She's been in here longer than anyone can imagine, and although she's become accepted she's sick of the helpless feeling that she can't ever get rid of. Has first hand experience of the way this cage they're trapped in can affect someone and two years of being alone - of being the freak, the anomaly - broken her more than it's hardened her?

The mystery - the one who knows even less about herself than everyone else. Nobody has a clue how she got here, and everybody wants to find out, including her. After being found by the boy who wont let her out of his sight one second and refuses to give her the time of day the next, will the impending pressure of the Glade and the connotations of appearing in the maze with no explanation break her?

The mistake - the one who can remember things that she wishes she could forget. She does her best to distance herself from the rest of camp, but word travels quickly in the Glade and things may not be as transparent as they seem. Will the torture of knowing the things which have caused her endless amounts of agony in her previous life destroy her before it fixes her?

The three girls all seem to have the same purpose, but when love gets in the way, will they ruin all of W.I.C.K.E.D's intricate plans?
