Prologue

Ancient Greece

"And the prophecy proclaims there shall be a union between the moon and night, and then there shall be a new age of peace and prosperity. However, the age will be threatened by the powers of evil if the two do not join before the waning moon of the winter solstice," the professor rolled up the short prophecy, dread plain in his eyes. "You will not be able to help, my young warrior."

"What?" the Spartan roared. The wise professor sighed and walked towards the iron-clad warrior.

"This is a job for the goddesses and their reincarnations, and a job for them alone. And not only that, you will be long dead by the time this prophecy comes to fruition," the warrior seethed.

"A job for women? Ha! They couldn't fulfil a prophecy if their lives depended on it!" the proffessor's eyes turned cold.

"It would be wise to keep your mouth shut about women and their powers. The goddess who protects this very temple would not be satisfied with your misogyny," thunder rumbled, and the warrior looked around warily. But he held resolve.

"But the goddess of the moon is a virgin! The reincarnation of Artemis is--" the professor smacked the warrior with a tightly rolled scroll.

"Not Artemis, you fool! Seline, the true goddess of the moon. You will not live to see it, but their union will bring this world to a new age."
