And if that requires forging a desperate pact with a half-vampire, despite his deep-seated hatred towards his kind, then so be it. *** It's mostly a comfort read, so I'd recommend reading when you're in for the long haul (It's a fantasy romance after all!) Also, regarding the Mature Warning: 1. The story does contain mature scenes, but only in chapters where it is explicitly mentioned. The rest of the story remains clean. 2. Also, the mature chapters are completely skippable. The storyline continues exactly from where it left off before those chapters, so skipping them will not affect your understanding of the plot in any way. These scenes sort of act as a more detailed alternative to the usual "fade-to-black" moments, which are otherwise implied in the surrounding chapters.
