Jack and Grace were close friends when they were younger due to their parents being work colleagues. Grace was this exciting, fun and out-going girl. Then, at the age of thirteen, Grace's father sadly passes away. Grace loses all specks of fun she has and not only stops talking to Jack, but to everyone.
At the beginning of high school, she becomes more interactant, still not a conversation starter, but no longer ignoring people. She does not exactly have friends, yet everyone loves her to pieces. Jack, however, can't seem to put together why they stopped being friends. As their last summer before they graduate approaches, and Grace moves into the house opposite Jack's, he decides it would be a good time to talk and catch up with her. The only thing is, he doesn't know how to. All he knows is that he wants his adventurous best friend back and the only way he can think about doing that is by going on a road trip. They're about to do some rekindling on the road.
