Michael Carterson's life couldn't be better: he's a senior in high school; he's involved with church; he's on the swim team and the soccer team; and he has lots of friends. There's only one problem. He thinks he might be gay. There is nothing he wants less, until he makes a new friend and embarks on a journey of self-discovery that will involve challenging every belief he'd ever held. Michael has grown up in a family ruled by strict religion and homophobia and has always believed that there is nothing worse than being a homosexual. But then he meets Sly, an openly gay and charismatic teen boy who introduces him to a way of life completely different than any he'd ever known. He feels comfortable in Sly's world, but knows that his family and other friends wouldn't like it if they knew that he was spending time with someone like Sly. As he gets ready to graduate high school and leave home, he has to choose between the new friends who accept him and his old friends who are all he's ever known. In finding out and accepting who he is, he will face a challenge that will completely change his life and nearly send him over the edge.

Now, months into the 9th grade, he's starting to feel strangled by this secret that he has to keep. But with a very religious family, and friends he doesn't know if he can trust, he has nobody to confide in. Between this and being skinnier than all the other guys his age, he's starting to feel outside of it all, and his nerves are starting to get the best of his highschool self. And on top of everything else, he's started feeling differently about a close friend. Seeing one of his best friends, Logan Anderson, in a different capacity. Ethan went to boarding school every year, he didn't love it but it was better than staying home. Every year it was the same, maybe some new classes but he kept the same routine, same friends, and same self-loathing behavior. Things change when Julian starts extending St. Eve's Academy. Everything about him draws Ethan in, his dark hair and sickly pale skin, his quiet demeanor, and his dark eyes that always stared at him. Ethan goes out of his way to talk to him but Julian prefers to keep to himself. A tale as old as time, two kids stuck together at some school, two kids with bad families, and two kids who need each other but have to work past their own issues to finally be happy. --------- blurb - "I was going to ask if you wanted to go for a smoke, but your hair is all wet," Julian said taking in the droplets of water that were left on Ethan's neck, some trailed down his throat, teasing Julian. "So?" "So... You'll get sick." "Now you care if I get sick?" Ethan gave him an amused face, a smile tugging at his lips. "No," Julian sighed composing himself, "Do you want to smoke or not?" Julian said with an edge to his voice. "Sure," Ethan raised his eyebrows and followed Julian outside. -------------- started: 12/3/22 ended: 7/19/23 search "stuck (together)" for a playlist on spotify :) also heads up with story isn't very plot heavy more just watching their relationship together and it develop. also the is not at all an accurate display of addiction #smokingisnotcooldontdoit but seriously don't yell at me bc of how unrealistic their smoking habits are it's just for funnies :P also sexual content lmao read at your own discretion :D rankings - #2 in bxblove - #1 in gayfiction - #1 in badfamily -#2 in gay -#1 in darkacademia -#1 in gayness

Finn Wagner just wants to fly under the radar, graduate high school, and, somehow, get an NHL contract to escape his parent's expectations and his grades. Finn is trying to understand his identity - he's dyslexic, German, French, and American, the youngest of four siblings and easily the least impressive, barely passing his classes. There's another thing, though: he's bisexual and not out to anyone, convinced he never will be. But when an impulsive coming out to his parents ends up with him outed to his entire school, Finn has to face the opinions of not only his parents, but his hockey team, his best friend, and the new girl he's falling for. Will he be able to find himself under all the layers of his identity, and more importantly, will he be able to accept who that person is? Annabelle Lindström wants life to chill out a little during her last year of high school. With no mother and a NHL player for a father, she had a childhood stuffed with trips, press, and hockey - both exhausting and amazing. Now, she's got a summer planned with her best friends before she graduates and majors in journalism, but her dad uproots that and drags her to Duluth, Minnesota to meet his girlfriend. She's convinced she won't like it, but Annabelle starts to love the city, like Jamie, make friends, and even fall for a boy. She tells herself it's temporary, since she'll be headed back to LA by September, but her dad gets his dream post-retirement job in Minnesota and she gets accepted for an exclusive sports journalism internship, so they're staying. Now Annabelle has a chance to make some more connections before she joins the "real world" and even make things happen with the boy she likes, but can she manage it all without getting lost in the adventure?

[Book #1 of Twisted Deception] "You people don't know a damn thing about us, don't even speak." **** Everyone knows that high school is always something to dread. GPA, friends, enemies, prom, graduation, everything that you think would make high school good and bad for the future. Now scratch off friends, GPA, prom, and graduation. Why would you scratch them off? Because everything else will be the only thing that's important when you get to this high school. Saint Johnathan Pier is the one high school in the city where everything happens and normally, stuff you wish you didn't see. Everyone warned people about the dangers of the students going there but did they ever mention the people already broken by it? They were dubbed "the rainbow colors of society" just because they were different from other students in this school. But there's a slight differential between them: four of these students are popular while the other four are normal. While the four populars are seen as "superior, hot, and intimidating", the four normals are seen as "weirdos, weaklings, and irreverent bystanders". Being different from the other kids has always been a struggle for all of them since grade school, but they try to keep that out of mind. But with their dark history following them at every corner, making new friends can't be on their list. Matter of fact, it isn't an option. Especially when their attitudes are what drive people away rather than in. Not like they're complaining though. When these eight students get paired up for an end of the year assignment, they encounter a lot of drama that will test their relationships to the max. What will happen to them? Can they grow comfortable with each other? Can these troubled teens even be friends in the first place? Come along on the journey as these eight try to survive their last year of high school. ⚠️TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️: This contains strong language, mentions of rape, bullying, etc.
