This was just a short story I wrote today in creative writing. I really liked it and figured I'd post it. An unfortunate man is cursed by Circe, the goddess of witchcraft. He then makes a deal with the god Hermes to break the curse

a drop of sleep, a wave of reprieve
For once in ares' immortal life, he made a prayer to someone other than his father and voluntarily for first. And after a long while, hypnos had finally gotten a prayer after so long. And his wings fluttered in excitement at that. But wasnt that quite odd?.. a god praying to another god. Well what was even stranger?- An Olympic god, praying to a chthonic being. Two very different gods from two very different realms, really- it creeped the chthonic god the fuck out at first, but he could definitely get used to the soft side of war.
DanMachi: Descent Of A Tragedy
A long time ago, shortly before the Gods descended upon the lower world, Zeus spoke with a fellow deity. "Soon the divine will abdicate their place in heaven; they strive for entertainment in the lower world. However, I must demand that you remain here." The deity was confused, Zeus quickly caught onto his complicated expression. "Your divine power is far too great. Even if we were to seal it, you would likely become a tragedy to the beings of the lower world." Zeus expanded, understanding his explanation the deity hesitantly accepted the old God's demands. Soon after this conversation, the gods descended, The Deity was left trapped in an empty husk of the once bustling heaven. For a millennia the god was isolated and trained in completed solitude... each and everyday he practiced completely suppressing his divinity within his body. The process was grueling. The potent energy he locked within himself eventually began to tear him apart from the inside. In the end, the pain was only a small price to pay... If his torture succeseeded his divinity would be completely cotained and then he could finish step foot into the lower world without causing a tragedy. (This is an OC story and a lot of things probably won't be canon since I'm just going for a fun time while writing this story. ) (Also I know Azrael is an angel but for they're a god cuz why not) 🥇Freya 07/02/2025

The way the gods operate is broken. Apprentice gods are forced to give up their friends, families, and sometimes even more, in order to complete their training. Whats worse, Melody seems to be one of the only people that realize how unfair it is. But as an apprentice to a minor goddess, there is little she can do to fix things. However, after an old friend nearly ends the world by causing a war of the gods, Melody quickly realizes that she is partially to blame. She unknowingly helped him plan his attack. The One To Save Us All
Bell spent his whole life with his grandfather being told stories about heroes saving people and what it meant to he a hero and a man. Life was great until two great tragedies happened to him that forever changed his life. When he was only 9 years old he met his first God, but this God hated him for his grandfather and cursed by said God with a something that was akin to both a gift and a curse. His grandfather later returned home and found him on the ground withering in pain, while holding his bleeding shoulder that had a nasty bite mark on it. Seeing this, his grandfather promised him that he will give him something to drink to suppress the curse the God gave him, but even that only could do so much and the rest depended on Bells mental state to keep it under lock. The second tragedy was a couple years later, his grandfather died while out in the mountains and they could never find his body. After that Bell left his home village and went to Orario to begin his life as an adventurer and hero, like his grandfather always told him stories about. He struggled for a long time to find a Familia, but one day he did find a goddess who took him in, regardless of how weak he was or his curse. This is the beginning of Bells journey to he a hero and adventurer along with getting revenge against the God who cursed him.

As they traveled throughout the world, he learned so many new things about it and became a very powerful adventurer thanks to a skill he got when he received his blessing before their journey. but while traveling they met with Hera who joined them and even gave Bell her own blessing making him the only mortal on only mortal on Genkai to ever get two blessings from a god. While on the journey they encountered multiple people on it and they joined him them on it, but then one day he met a beautiful woman named Alfia, who revealed herself to be Bells aunt. But everyone noticed that when they talked and spent time together, they really didn't have a aunt and nephew relationship but no one commented on it and left it for them to figure out. This is Bell Cranels journey to becoming the last hero on all of Genkai and how he changed the world and Orario along with killing the One Eyed Black Dragon.
