A sixteen year old girl named Stella loses both her parents and is left with no close living relatives. After her family tree is traced back to her great Aunt and Uncle, who were both shot dead in gotham whilst leaving the Opera, she is sent off to live with a man who she knows nothing about. All she does know is that he's called Bruce Wayne and she wants a fresh start to her new life - that means going to school for the first time in years. Unfortunately only the City's most notorious and dangerous school, Gotham High has any places available. Will Stella be able to look after herself at this chaotic school, where she is surrounded by the children of criminals and mob bosses? Will her judgement be clouded when it comes to her new friend Ace, or the mysterious Andrew Crane, known to Stella as Andy?

She makes a friend called Dick Grayson and after a while he starts to make the things the Joker and Harley put into her head go away and she sort of changes and realises she doesn't actually want to be the Jester anymore. She finally tells Joker and Harley she doesn't want to be the bad guy anymore but they don't accept it and try to kill her. She's then saved by the league but when she wakes up Joker is gone and left a broadcast announcing that Jade was the Joker, the one thing she feared most of becoming and it breaks her making her loose what's left of her sanity. Nearly two years later she finds out that Dick didn't die and that he was under a new name, Nightwing. But will his return be enough to reverse her being the Joker or will she still stay insane?
