Cubonia is a cube shaped world, each of it's six faces representing a different soverign nation and each nation with its own unique people. The top most face is the land of Frostmoore. It is a vicious, frozen wasteland that can support no life other than the yeti tribes. Deep below Frostmoore dwell the Dwarves of Kazatlör. They are a race of master blacksmiths, greedy - loving gold above all else -and never turning away a frothy stein of dark ale. The bottom most face is the realm of darkness and fire, Kathür. It's home to the Goblins, a race of creatures predisposed to fighting and war. An elite clan of assassins is born and bred here to do the killing that needs to be done, so long as the price is right. The Goblins' penchant for violence keeps their race at a very short lifespan, but they'd live no other way. The remaining four faces' position are ever changing as the great planet spins. The first of those faces is where you will find Elazio, Cubonia's most powerful nation. Queen Annelise sits the throne in the capital city of Old Andora protected by the Royal Watchmen. The next face is where the Elves reside in their kingdom of Rodain. It is a continent densely forested and difficult to navigate if you aren't of the Elvish persuasion. It is said that there is also a race of shapshifters roaming the forests of Rodain, but proof of that has never been found. Next we have Paragotia, a continent known as the land of a million lakes. There's as much fresh water in Paragotia as there is briny sea water surrounding it. In Paragotia there be dragons. Finally we come to Saavedra, the desert continent. Saavedra is home to a proud clan of warriors that task their children with a pilgramage to the great Ka'li'Na rock when they come of age. The only other creatures that can survive the harsh desert, it's said, are a clan of talking cacti. Someone is kidnapping the street kids in Twynne Rivers DeFrantis is a young human girl living on the streets, trying to eke out a living in the sprawling city, and she has problems. First, after a botched attempt to steal a chicken, she's on the run. Second, for some reason, someone other than the City Guard is trying to hunt her down. Finally, the poor kids she was trying to feed got sold off to slavers. She has to save them, but first, she has to find them! Along the way, she gets help from strangers: Antonerri, a soldier turned heretic - Thissraelle, an elven mage girl; Granthurg, the studious giant; and Karendle, a half-dwarf wizard wannabe. ...But who is the Dragon's Flame? "...Each of these characters emerges from wildly differing circumstances, and have unique perspectives and goals, which don't always neatly align with those of their companions, and in some cases can leave them wondering if they're even fighting on the right side. It's that searching and self-doubt -- all while being swept up by larger events -- that makes these players in this little drama so fascinating." -Doug Bedwell, Author of "A Counterfeit Princess" and "Robot Captain" This story is based on the setting and system of the table-top role-playing game, "A Tale of Heroes" By Mark Hansen, Brendon Hansen, and Jacob Hansen. It's a family-friendly, story-driven system designed to help families enjoy time together. Roll Dice - Build Character
