Genetic testing has become widespread and commonplace. Humans are now the new lab rats and guinea pigs, though they aren't treated as humans.
Once they enter a testing facility, they lose the label of "human" and earn that of "subject", along with losing any basic human rights they had before being experimented on.
Most experiments fail horribly or don't accomplish anything, but one in particular has worked better than anyone could have imagined.
Most subjects become too weak and disheartened to escape...but one has made it.

Conduits are viewed as monsters who only bring evil to the world, and are captured by the "Department of Unified Protection" or "D.U.P" for short. The D.U.P takes these conduits to a prison known as Curden Cay Station and do God knows what to them. So you can imagine that finding out one day that you are one of these conduits would be an extremely bad situation to be in, and unfortunately for our freshly graduated main protagonist, he is about to find out just how dark this world can be. With the death of his lover at the hands of a conduit during their escape from the D.U.P, will our protagonist fall to his anger and seek vengeance for his lover's death? Or will he prevail and choose to be the better man in a world where the better people are at risk?
