She was made of glass. Pure as crystal. Until one day she was broken. She put herself back together, but she was never quite the same. Some of the pieces were missing. She shoved people away so that they wouldn't get cut on her edges. This is the story of the glass girl.

These poems are based off of things that have happened on my life. They include things that may be triggers for some people such as thoughts of self-harm, mental illness, and thoughts of suicide. I am also a born-again Christian, so these poems will include God and Jesus. If you don't believe in the same religion as me please be gracious and don't comment anything rude. All of me, the hard parts of flesh you could never seem to love, drips down the drain. I am waiting for the day for your fingers to unscrew the pipes, dig through debris and mess, scrape your heart against the rust, just to find me, so we can go through it all over again. Here, in the pages I find myself, in the ink that writes against my flesh, I will whisper the sadness, the heartache, and the decaying for all of the unspoken.
