Glass Girl

She was made of glass. Pure as crystal. Until one day she was broken. She put herself back together, but she was never quite the same. Some of the pieces were missing. She shoved people away so that they wouldn't get cut on her edges. This is the story of the glass girl.

These poems are based off of things that have happened on my life. They include things that may be triggers for some people such as thoughts of self-harm, mental illness, and thoughts of suicide. I am also a born-again Christian, so these poems will include God and Jesus. If you don't believe in the same religion as me please be gracious and don't comment anything rude. If you see any typos or have any ideas on how I could improve my works don't be afraid to comment them. I will try to update weekly. Happy reading and don't forget to comment!!!

Hurt Beyond Repair.
Hurt and frightened and no where to turn except for my journal. Curse words being streamed at me and you would have thought I had a father for a sailor. ~E.M.C Many poems focusing on the subject of Mental Illness, that many suffer with and the subject just isn't brought up enough. Poems focusing on a day in the shoes of a person with a mental illness and how some even ordinary simple tasks may seem not so simple to them. Blaine's Opportunity
TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ MENTIONS OF Rape, family abuse and suicidal thoughts. Do not read if this may trigger you. The story isn't all depressing but there are certain family situations brought up. It's a good read, enjoy. "It's ok, Blaine. I promise." I whispered into her ear. Her strong arms wrapped me so tightly. I felt so warm and safe... it's weird how calm everything felt in this moment. I hear her sniffle. "I... don't wanna go back." She whispered. I rubbed her back. "You don't have to if you don't want to I promise. You can stay as long as you want." I whispered back. ------ Blaine Jarome was known for the attitude and anger issues. She was considered a problem child in her school, aggressive at work and in and out the hospital for injuries she never explained how she got. She only had two friends who always worried about her and she lived with two drug addicted foster parents that bought drugs from her. She's nineteen trying to finish her second last year of high school. No one dared to even intervene when she was mad... but the new girl? Well let's just say a big heart goes a long way. Sara gives Blaine an opportunity to do better and try harder. She tries to help her see her potential and see that she is great. The Words I couldn't Say
This is a place for me to put all the things I wish I said but I just couldn't. These are a way for me to "say" these things without actually saying them to the person I want to. I probably won't ever go back or read any of these because it's like revisiting a bad memory so don't expect much in terms of editing. Also I wouldn't consider this poetry but it is laid out that way. WARNING Talk of depression, suicide, anxiety, and self harm. Don't read if you don't like things like that and may get triggered. I don't mean to cause anyone problems of any sort, but these are the things I feel and can't help. Please keep negativity away as this is a sensitive subject for a lot of people. Thank you. You Were My Because
For every question WHY You were my BECAUSE Anxiety. Depression. Panic Attacks. A small touch of Haphephobia. After years of abuse and sadness, Charlotte finally puts her past behind her and starts over. She finds a new job, a new group of friends, and Axel; life can't get any better. She can finally breathe. She starts to experience happiness and love, but her past keeps coming back to haunt her, showing up at the worst moments and taking her happiness away. She's thrown back into it face first; the drugs, the gangs, the ex that she promised wouldn't lay a hand on her again... Her new life mixes with her old and her secrets are revealed, promises are broken, and everything becomes too much. ------- "I can't just shut it off." I speak softly, wanting Axel to understand that this is who I am. This is the real Charlotte. "I know. You just...you don't have to be alone anymore, Char." My eyes focus on our entwined fingers as my heart beats wildly in my chest, his words repeating in my head. I stare, feeling the weight of his words sink in slowly. Being alone is all I've ever known. "Let me prove it to you." His words sound like a promise, and I gulp, my eyes finally finding his. I find myself wanting to believe him. Wanting to trust him. "There comes a point where you no longer care if there's a light at the end of the tunnel or not. You're just sick of the tunnel." - Who I am doesn't matter. How I got here doesn't matter. What matters now is I'm getting help, right? That's what they tell me here. They tell me that the road to recovery feels like a terrible butt fuck, but the fact that you're on the path to begin with, is all that matters. So as I sit in this circle of fuck ups, I realize just how different I am from them. I didn't attempt suicide because my mother was a crack addict who didn't want me. My father wasn't abusive. I didn't have a sibling die in a car accident. I was never really bullied either. I stare at him for a while before I have to turn away from his hungry gaze. "Look I just came here to tell you that I forgive you for what you did back in Cali and I'll take you back," "You forgive me?" I yell. "I did nothing to you. You raped me! You fucking raped me! You have no right to come here and tell me that. You. Forgive. Me. You traumatized me. What you did to me tore me up inside and was eating away at me until I tried to kill myself. And when I told people they didn't believe me. I had to listen to so many people talk about how great a guy you were and how I clearly just regretted sleeping with you. You are a monster. You made me hate myself for something that was never my fault. You have caused me so much pain and suffering," I pause to take a deep breath. "So you don't get to come here to my school and tell me you forgive me. You don't get to make me feel bad about coming forward.
