Certain people are born with a Gift. Gifts are viewed as terrible curses brought to the world to wreak havoc. One man, the Shadow Man, wants to prove to the world that Gifts are treasures not to be taken for granted. He rescues these abused children to train them to be their most powerful. To most of the Gifted children, this sounds like a miracle, but the others know that all this man wants is world domination. When Cecelia is taken because of her immense power, her sister goes on a search to save her beloved sister, picking up a few Gifted kids to help.
