Emotions are the enemy of humans. When angry, you do stupid things and speak words that make you the worst. When you're sad, upset, it is the same. Heartbreak makes emotions run high. When you get into your car to drive away, heart aching and tears overfilling your blue eyes because of a harsh break up, the least thing you expect is for everything to go black then the next time you wake - you're in hospital.
After Castiel's car crashes, resulting in faint memory loss and bodily injury, he is of course sent to hospital, in which he meets Doctor Dean Winchester.
