In one universe, a city created the Order of Hunters to counter the Shades.
But their pure hatred will be their downfall.

Reckless is a Hunter. A Hunter of Shades. But one hunt went horribly wrong. Filled with new, accidental power, and fire bursting because of her unjust imprisonment, she ran away from the Order, the city of Arlica, and that entire universe itself.
Now, Reckless hunts Shades alone, all the while running from the Order.
A prophecy says that "when all the Shades have gone, the one who walks alone will see the dawn."
Reckless, the Shade-girl.
Reckless, the girl who cannot touch the light.
Reckless, the one who, at all costs, will see the dawn.
