Left for dead, Scourge, former leader of the infamous BloodClan, is taken pity upon by none other than Cinderpelt, the gentle and caring medicine cat of ThunderClan. Caring for him in secret, Cinderpelt  soon gets closer than anyone would have thought  to the dark tom. Scourge must wrestle with his emotions  and only time will tell if his feelings for  Cinderpelt are greater than his icy hatred for the clans.

Briarpaw is a thunderclan apprentice, in the battle for the forest with Bloodclan, she saves Scourge. Firestar slashes her across the throaght and she blacks out. When she awakens, she is in a new territory. She finds out that this is Bloodclan. Scourge makes her a warrior, Briarrose. But she still has no idea who saved her from the battlefield. She then uncovers Scourges real past. It scares her. But she is scared more still once she finds herself wrapped up in an emotion she can't control, one she was told not to feel.
