The Roman governor of Britain even used this homicide as an excuse to raid several villages in the south of Caledonia. Despite Caledonia being a client kingdom of Rome, they were still treated as 'barbaric' by the officials in London. As a response King Arvid send advocates to London to find a solution, while he remained in Caledonia to prevent a civil war between the pro-Roman and the anti-Roman clans.
