Meet Dawn. She's the product of an affair, which led to her growing up fatherless. On top of that, her mom's a major defense attorney, so being a mother isn't exactly on her schedule. Leaving Dawn to be raised by her old-fashioned grandparents. She's sweet, sheltered, and a little naive. More book-smart than street smart, it's ironic when she falls for streetwise Los.

Los live by them goon rules. The streets are embedded in his DNA causing him to be harsh, ruthless, and cold-hearted. Neck deep in the streets, he has no desire to ever settle down. Never one for commitment, Los liked having his fair share of hoes. Each and every one replaceable to him. All except Dawn.

Granted, the first time they met wasn't exactly a fairytale, but who says love doesn't come in the form of tragedies. When Los spares Dawn's life, the more she suddenly began to randomly pop into his. The more he pushes her away, the more Dawn clings to him. And the more she clings to him, the more Los finds himself caving in.
