"Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry!" My face burned from the embarrassment of tripping over flat ground, and falling on top of a complete stranger, smashing my lips against his in the process.

"No problem at all. It was the best kiss I've ever had," He smiled back at me, his beautiful eyes crinkling kindly.

                                    * * *

Eighteen-year-old Sawyer Adams is too tall, lanky and awkward - the reason why she never gets asked out by boys her age and can't seem to fit in.

That is, until she fell over and kissed a stranger in Barnes and Noble.

His eyes narrow into slits, "Don't you dare-" "What do you call a fish wearing a bowtie?" Instantly, Sawyer frowns, an unimpressed expression on his face. I smile, grabbing his cheeks and squishing them, "Don't make that face!!! C'mon, you gotta ask!! What do you call a fish wearing a bowtie?" He glares at me, "We're not doing this shit, Mari-" "Yes, we are!!" I let go of his face, "You ready?!!" "No." "I'm gonna say it." "You better not-" "SoFISHticated." "You're a dumbass." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *Slow Burn, Lengthy Chapters, Long Story* This Story Takes Place in 2023-2024 Marianne Parker and Sawyer Cortez are complete opposites of each other. #4 in Falling For A Womaniser Series *** On the night of her sixteenth birthday, Katerina Kolosov made the mistake of kissing her best friend's brother. Not that her best friend Alexandria Doukas (Lexi) wouldn't be okay with it. She'll be ecstatic. However, horrified at her actions, Kat pretends the kiss didn't happen and continues to move on with life while doing all that she can to avoid Raphael. Now eighteen, and with her best friend Lexi at her side, college would be a blast. That is until everything changes when Lexi's brother has decided to make Kat his after years of waiting. Can Kat deal with the possessive and demanding Raphael after years of trying to avoid the attraction between them? Who knew that one kiss could change everything? ** "Ooooh get your hands off me!" I hissed as Raphael carried me over his shoulder and into one of the bedrooms. "I mean it! You stupid barbarian!" I yelled and tried to wriggle my way out of his tight grasp and I opened my mouth to yell when one of his large hands landed on my bottom. Hard. "Ow! What the hell is your problem? And get your hand off my butt!" I hissed as Raphael kept his hand on my bottom. I could hear him chuckle and I struggled and pounded my fists against his back viciously and growled angrily when he didn't seem to be affected by it. I let out a huff as I landed on the bed. "Listen here you stupid oaf! Let me out of this room!" I demanded and glared at the handsome devil in front of me. "Didn't your parents ever teach you that it is rude to shout Katerina?" He said silkily as he watched me. I crossed my arms, "They did, but I figured since it's just you, it doesn't matter." He raises an eyebrow and stalks closer towards me. Without a word, his head leaned in and slanted his lips over mine. With that, I was kissing Raphael Doukas. "'Bye.' I say after Edwin's kiss. He gives me a small smile that honestly looks more like a grimace. It makes me a little uncomfortable having him kiss me in the library. Edwin walks away, and someone standing in the corner of my vision makes me turn in my seat. A tall, muscular man is standing there, his arms crossed, staring at me. He's got dark brown hair, perfect eyebrows, and soft brown eyes. Honestly, he's gorgeous. And since I've read, and edited, about five articles about him, I recognize him immediately. Dane Sawyer. He's the best pitcher on our baseball team. He's hoping to go pro, although I'm not totally sure what the process is surrounding that, since I don't retain much of the information from the articles that I read about him. I know that he's also a junior, and that his girlfriend is hot as fuck. I've seen them together on campus. They're hard to miss because they are easily one of the most attractive couples that I've ever seen. I'm convinced that I must be hallucinating, because he makes eye contact and walks towards me. 'That was awkward.'" ~~~ Junior year is starting off chaotic for Mackenzie Brooks as she steps into her role as the editor-in-chief of the college's newspaper. She's smart, focused on school, the paper, and her TA responsibilities. Junior year should be starting off easy for Dane Sawyer. He's the star pitcher of the baseball team; attractive, athletic, desirable, with a hot girlfriend. Unfortunately, he's also failing computer science which is the one thing he sees that is in the way of his pro career. Different in more ways that one, when the two run into each other in the library, it's an immediate disaster. But when Dane convinces Mackenzie to be his tutor, both of their lives begin to change.

I feel the breath of air on the back of my neck. My limbs freeze and my breath catches in my throat. The male hands grab me by the hips. I can't move. His lips are by my ear, grazing the skin, his teeth tugging on my earlobe. His breath is hot on my skin, his lips moving down to my neck. My head tilts slightly. I shake my head. He doesn't have a weapon, I do. I turn in his grip, raising my bat. He catches the swing with one hand. He doesn't even flinch. "I wouldn't do that baby." His voice is like velvet, filling up the room. His lips are back on my neck, his tongue trails over the skin. The voice, the lips, are familiar. "You might mess up my pretty face." "Pretty face, my ass." I let the bat drop to the floor in-between the two of us. I should've known. "What are you doing here?" "Besides scaring you shitless?" "You didn't-" "Don't lie, I saw what you did to those poor hangers." *** It's a game of cat and dog. A game that's lasted four years. A game that expires in three short months. It's a battle of wits, of sarcasm, of teasing one liners, of sloppy kisses that may lead to more but nothing passed physical. It's a game with no rules. And they seem to be breaking them all. Thea Shaw and Ethan Michaels have a complicated relationship. One that neither wants to come to an end. But with college nearing and feelings developing what will come of their little game? He promises her one last summer of underage fun; parties, sunsets, long talks, sweet kisses, and no talk of college until it's time to leave. There are only two ways this summer can end. Either in each other's arms or the breaking of their hearts. #4 in New Adult [COMPLETED]
