One day Maleah is a normal girl with normal goals like getting a certain boy to like her. Now she and her friends may be in serious trouble. Jonah was also a normal teenager before he decided to go to his crushes cabin. Sadly his plan to hangout with her all weekend turned into a challenge of life and death.

                   This book is sorta mystery/ thriller book... some background info on the book; this was originally a homework assignment and it turned out pretty good and when I showed my friends ( I ended the short story with a cliff hanger ) they told me I needed to wright more so this is me fulfilling their wishes. Chapter one be like : "I Sam Wilson promise not to do anything disrespectful or bad towards Thomas for the rest of my life as a child." So you just saw that idiot? Back before my hair was red before i looked like this. That promise I broke too. Ok listen you wouldn't blame me! I made that promise as a 5 year old once my mom and dad went missing and my older brother had to raise me. Im 14 now and my brother 21. If anything I'm everyones second choice. Also also! I AM A GIRL!!! Not a boy! I just have my hair cut short because its better that way. I wrote all this down in my dairy and closed it. "Sam?" My brother walked in. "What?" I replied back. "You know how your therapist suggested going to a special teen camp?" "Yeah." "Well this summer your going to one!" "What?! Camp...? Thomas I'm not 6." "Well you are now!" "Are you going with me at least?" "Yeah! I'm working there! I can't just leave you there." "Oh my goddddd-" I rolled my eyes and put my head back on my pillow. Special camp!? Im not sped! I'm not going! "I already got your stuff packed! We start heading there next week!" Why does he sound exited. I looked him in the eyes and than rolled mine. "Come on Samuel!" "Shut up! I dont care!" I put my headphones back in and ignored his dumb speech of sibling bonding. Seriously? This is why he's still single. Even I have gotten asked out. Hear me out he hasn't had a girlfriend at all! How do you not get a girlfriend in this amount of time!? Instead of signing me up for some stupid shit you could be on tinder finding a girl! But nooooooo sign my little sister up for camp!!! Ugh whatever.

This story is not getting the attention it deserves, so I am attempting to "re-brand" it. Maybe no one "gets" it. If you want to read about "Normal" teenagers, maybe this isn't for you, it's more complicated than that. It's about a teenager who doesn't fit it, but doesn't want to, who has the best two friends that anyone could have. Who watched his father lose his job in the Recession and then loses his home, and how he copes, especially when he learns that their new house is haunted and the ghost is in his room. Michael was an average kid, although he's always stood out. He was a school jock but also a skater whose long blond hair almost reaches his waist. When his parents lived in a house in a home owners association like all his other friends, life seemed normal. Then his father lost his job and suddenly those "friends" weren't there anymore--except for his two best friends, Short Round and Dewey. The three are skaters, good ones, who live for girls and their skateboards. They're also basically good kids who take pride in being different without paying attention to it. When Michael loses his home and his family has to move they have his back. And they are there for him when the ghost girl starts following him around. Mariah was murdered when she was just 15, her remains were never found, although no one but her and her ghost friend, Crazy Girl, know where their bodies are buried. The house Michael now lives in is the one where she lived with her family, and her old room is now his. She appears to him one night, trying to taunt him, but against her will she is falling in love with the boy who lives in her old room. Jonah turned his face, but I didn't look back at him, I kept staring up at the skies. He turned back to the sky and took a breather before answering. "We're always going to be alone, Rose. Always. We'll be haunted by the darkness that is our own shadow, but in every shadow there's a light." He answered, as if the simplest thing in the world. I only stared at him with a dropped jaw. That was out of this world. Especially coming from Jonah. "When does it get better?" I mumbled. "It doesn't. But to go through it with someone makes it a whole lot easier." He turned back to face me. We stared at each other for a while. He'd always occasionally look down at my lips, and I'd do the same to him. I broke it off and looked back up at the sky. -=- New York City. The place of opportunities. But what shall Rose do when there's so many of them? Jonah, the seducer with a British accent, or Cameron, equally British but sweet. Her clock is ticking. She has one year to make up her mind until the exchange program takes back all their Brits and their New Yorkers return. And so the end-of-the-year party is the final strike. Either Rose chooses...or she doesn't. *WARNING* I began this book (my first book ever) when I was like 11 or 12 years old so the first chapters (idk how many) suck, not gonna lie. I had scrapped so many ideas (that I only really wrote a few chapters of) that when I was older enough to realize the story I had going so far sucked, I didn't want to scrap again, so I finished for that sake in a span of 3 years (and ended in 2014). But one day Remi is attacked, and nearly killed, by a man in the forest. When she wakes up everything's different. She feels something inside her, a power, but she has no idea what happened to her. All she remembers is the man's strange yellow eyes. When three new boys show up at her school, one with yellow eyes, asking her question she gets nervous. "If we lived in the forest we wouldn't have gummy bears any more." I comment to lighten the mood. She doesn't find it funny. "I'm serious Remi! What if we did run away?" "Jen, we can't just run away. I know your parents are strict but I truly think they just want what's best for you." She says nothing. For a moment I fear she's mad at me but then she puts her head on my shoulder and I know we're okay.

... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. As I transcribe it here, I have tried to update it a bit and give the characters/story more depth than what I had when I was younger. Hopefully it all gets pulled together!
