With our homeworld of Earth gone in the blink of an eye, we are now forced to survive on modified cruiseliner starships and cling to life as our pursuers relentlessly hound us, the varying perils of space claw at our very existence, and our own simmering tensions threaten to break into a roiling turmoil. However, if there is one thing that gives me hope as I write this journal entry, it is that humanity can accomplish even the seemingly impossible through cooperation and willpower.
