Piper's new at Goode High. Not depressingly new, but new enough to be confused. She's got a couple of friends, manly Hazel Levesque, who was very nice to her when she first came, and Leo Valdez, who was friends with Hazel and warmed up to Piper very quickly.
However, there are a couple things that you just know if you've been coming to Goode High, as there are in every place, but since new people don't usually come, no one thought to inform Piper. Hazel tries her best, whenever Piper seems lost, but she always seems to forget Piper hasn't been coming long.
Annabeth Chase has been coming to Goode since forever, her family has lived in this town for generations. The Chase's are very prominent, well known, very rich, and very powerful. Well, Annabeth's estranged mom, Athena, is any way. But Annabeth lives with her dad, and they make airplane models together.
She seems to be very popular at Goode, and this is where Piper is confused. Annabeth doesn't look or act like any popular person she's ever seen. She wears flannels with baggy jeans or sweat pants. She brings her computer with her everywhere, and she's always doing schoolwork. Piper's never actually met the girl, but she gets approached about every day by someone and asked on a date.
And every day it's a different girl, who looks something like what you'd expect a popular person to look like. Carefully picked out clothes, well done make up, styled hair, and a group of undyingly loyal friends who are waiting for her to come back.
And Piper just doesn't understand, what's so great about Annabeth Chase?
Hazel's not sure how to explain it.
Leo thinks the whole things hilarious.
Annabeth just sits their patiently and waits for everyone to work out their problems.
(I don't own characters! I do own the cover, it's mine, so don't use it for anything else. This is just a one shot, and I've got a couple other Pipabeth stories if you like my writing, and a couple other Percico ones.)
A Maybank and A Cameron? It's almost like a modern Romeo and Juliet. It's forbidden for them to be together. Could be the end of the world.
The stolen glances, the hidden feelings, the unspoken words, the secret meetings and the obvious hatred towards each other followed by constant conflicts and some hidden past that threatened them but there are always invisible strings tied and pulling them together no matter how hard the tides trying to pull and part them away from each other.
