A particularly chilly day at the nearby park ends with the two crashing into one another, and - well, you know the rest. But do you? Because it's not actually that simple. Dean's family is falling apart, and Dean himself feels broken. And try as he might, drugs and drink won't cure him. Castiel has lost the woman who saved him... And he's not sure how to cope when he has no one else left. Who are they without the people they loved? And can they find it in themselves... to love each other?

In Good Hands is a slow burn AU Destiel love story forged from grief, guilt, and grace. After a life altering accident, Dean Winchester is forced to confront his past, his addiction, and the wreckage he's left behind. But when he begins visiting the coma patient he put in the hospital Castiel Collins, he doesn't expect to find comfort, redemption, or love. What begins as penance becomes something deeper. Set against a backdrop of supernatural mystery, found family, and quiet moments that ache with emotion, this is a tale of healing through connection. With the help of a gentle doctor, a best friend, a Nephilim child, and one very determined angel, Dean learns that maybe, just maybe, he's worthy of forgiveness. And of a future. Because sometimes, when you think you've lost everything, you find yourself in good hands.
