After all, who better to believe her than a real supernatural researcher! She and her twin brother, Dipper, are more than ready to find magic in the Oregon forests around Ford's hometown.

So why won't Ford take them on adventures?

Determined, Mabel sets out to make her own discoveries - with or without her grumpy old uncle. When she finds a psychotic showgirl (with magical powers), a mysterious boy (also with magical powers), and a triangular demon (with probably the most perilous powers of all), Mabel realizes that Ford is right about at least one thing: In Gravity Rises, Oregon, you can find danger in the most unexpected places.

Together, they go up north to a sleepy little town called Gravity Falls, Oregon. To stay with their Great Uncle Stan in his house that he converted into a tourist trap called the Mystery Shack. All things were going normal and boring for them beginning, but there was always a palpable feeling that the woods all around them hide something of a dark secret. And then one day they find a mysterious journal in the woods. The moment they opened that book, it becomes clear to the three kids that things were not normal in this remote town. From aliens, conspiracies, cryptids, strange and violent deaths, ghosts, mysteries, other dimensions, and the unexplained.
