"Help me," I whisper to nobody.
The constant murmuring of voices increased rapidly, too loud for my ears to handle. I covered my ears with my shaking hands, trying to block them out. They wouldn't leave.
But there was one voice louder than all, calling me, beckoning me.
"Look at me!" It roars.
I was shaking so violently that my stomach hurt. My whole body hurt. My chest was tightening to the point where I couldn't breathe.
