The second of a new series. Rob was out of a job. He'd been thrown down from the pinnacle of his career and had entered a new low. Meanwhile, DI Sarah Stark, without her boss, had been promoted. She was young and sitting pretty near the top of the police hierarchy. She missed her boss, and the fun that they'd had, but she was too used to losing things. She was trying to move on, but it was hard to not look back. Jerry Adams was lost. Having completed his challenge, he'd tried to think of more ways of fooling and cheating. But he hadn't thought of the consequences. And living with those consequences was going to be hard. Too hard. And with all this comes a new challenge. As two friends reunite, they have to work together once more, but this time on a more serious level. This time, innocent lives are at risk. But how can they solve it, when all the time, they're being kept in the dark?
