Out From Within the Shadow
Introduction In March 2013, following the completion of From Within The Shadow, I reached the point of feeling and being like I'd found my way out from within the shadow. With each step it felt like I was opening like a flower: Blossoming, growing stronger, taller, daily. Pushing outwards, the seeds, to attract the honey bee, like a chest being puffed out. Petals like eyes, seeing the world, feeling the wind, the sun, the rain. Dancing, strutting, feeling a part of the world, stretching outwards to reach my full potential. Out From Within the Shadow I now stand out from within the shadow tall, upright and in full glow behind me now is where it is only to visit as I reminisce. Sweeter memories can now be found as all the tangles have been unwound and freedom is now the path for me and with my new eyes the world I see. Beneath The Light of a Dying Star
In these pages, the world is both light and heavy-sometimes in the same breath. This is a catch-call collection of my own poetry, prose and/or lyrics that I've accumulated over the years that I related to and enjoyed writing and re-writing. I don't know, I just hope you enjoy them or find some comfort in them as well. :) Also, possibly relevant, I'm queer, autistic/adhd and very traumatized so if you relate, you might, like idk, relate to these maybe or they may be a little too real??
Trapped in my own head
She is an outcast. She finds it easier to express what she feels in the form of writing. Whether it is poems, letters or long texts. These are poems that she writes trying to describe how it feels to live with certain mental health issues, in a world that disregards outcasts. So, these are on the darker side of the spectrum. Some poems might be distressing for some readers. I personally enjoy consuming dark content, it's kinda like a coping mechanism. I really hope none of you relate with any of these :) I'll be posting only poems here, I'll try to be as active as I can. The poems are not in any order.
