The first chapter of this story was written when I was in 5th grade. I found it in the deep depths of some folder on my Mac, and decided to post it on here.

... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. As I transcribe it here, I have tried to update it a bit and give the characters/story more depth than what I had when I was younger. Hopefully it all gets pulled together!

Welcome to the life of a teenager - she's loud, rambunctious, and most likely failing her classes. Microphone has always wanted to play in a band, on a stage where billions could watch her perform, as she gives out autographs to the crowd - but that's all just a dream, one that'll probably make it on the "discarded" list. Maybe you want to get to know Knife, and his journey on tackling his problems outside of school, like getting into fights that weren't his, or being out later than he was meant to. Would you like to listen to Tissues story? You might want to understand how he feels being in the hospital for most of highschool year, being isolated from people who he wants to call friends, but can't. They don't know him - due to how absent he is, everyone has basically forgotten that he goes here, and gets brushed off like a speck of dust on the kitchen counter. You'd feel like a burden. Highschool is different for everyone. Come along, and listen to the perspectives of each character - take a look inside their minds, and see what they go through. A rough hand pulled her up and her blurry vision landed on dark eyes. She blinked a few times and her vision came back. Standing in front of her was a boy about her age. A very attractive boy. He was almost a foot taller than her 5'3 height. His black hair was slicked back and his tan skin radiated under the fluorescent school lights. Her mouth was slightly ajar as she stared at him. She hadn't realized how close she was to him until she felt his breath on her lips. She jerked away, grabbed her glasses on the floor and ran away in the opposite direction leaving the boy to furrow his eyebrows at her behavior. However, a small smirk played on his lips as he placed his hands in his jeans pockets and turned in the opposite direction. 'Stupid, Stupid, Stupid' She thought to herself.

CRINGE WARNING! First book I ever wrote on here!! -- "Sometimes the person who you are willing to take a bullet for is the person behind the gun." I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. They say the blood runs deeper than water, and I believe it, because even though the people that we love can turn on us and begin to hate us, they are only human, meaning that soon they will begin to see how short life really is and how it is not to be wasted. People who seem perfect and they look like they have no floors'; they are the people who are suffering, like I was. But I found my savior in the most uncommon place. He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. I'm a 17 year old girl who has suffered more than any other, beginning to believe that 'Hope' was just another word the people throw around. Until I fell in love with a badboy. Keep in mind that you managed to fill those cracks in your heart with pure gold so that you can pick yourself up from the ground below and mold yourself into genuine art that has now become a beautiful piece of broken pottery. Gemma was your normal sun kissed skinned teenager. Who was living her life. Living la vida loca. Believing in the "yolo" principal until one day a tragedy knocked on her door and turned her life upside down. Now with a broken heart, a messed up mind and a blacked soul she must face her everyday life once more, she has to face school, battle friends and harsh words and a bigger brother too Lucas is your normal Spanish mafia kind of looking guy who was living his life to the fullest and working at a cute little coffee shop. There he needs a girl and is taken aback. He is completely awestruck by her beauty and her ability to play the guitar and get lost in a melody that she creates. However reality hits and he becomes disappointed when he knows that he will never see her again until her decides to show his true potential and transfer to an AP math's class and at the back of the class sat his angel. Lucas has some demons as well. Fighting an horrid past, a personality disorder and then another hardship hits him. He has bad chemistry grades and must in list the help of the schools smartest girl but this condition comes as a price. Is Lucas willing to pay? She was ice and he was fire. She was beautiful and he was broken. Put them together and some how you end up getting a beautiful piece of broken pottery. Or do you?

Remi has always loved the forest, the different sounds, smells, the way she could get lost in it and never have to go home to her non-existent parents. She goes in and out of her life with her best friend everyday just waiting until they're both old enough to leave their small boring town. But one day Remi is attacked, and nearly killed, by a man in the forest. When she wakes up everything's different. She feels something inside her, a power, but she has no idea what happened to her. All she remembers is the man's strange yellow eyes. When three new boys show up at her school, one with yellow eyes, asking her question she gets nervous. Jen says suddenly. "Hmm?" I hum back. "Do you ever wish you could just live in the forest? Away from everyone and everything?" She looks at me. "Free." We stare at each other for a long time. "If we lived in the forest we wouldn't have gummy bears any more." I comment to lighten the mood. She doesn't find it funny. "I'm serious Remi! What if we did run away?" "Jen, we can't just run away. I know your parents are strict but I truly think they just want what's best for you." She says nothing. For a moment I fear she's mad at me but then she puts her head on my shoulder and I know we're okay.
