It's the year 2020-a strange new element has been discovered by a mining company deep in the Canadian wilderness, named Resplendent Crystal after the strange light that it emanates when touched. Despite the mining company becoming the most successful in the world, strange things have been happening in the mine that they're having trouble keeping quiet. Workers are disappearing, found days later covered in horrible wounds and sores that leak a strange black liquid.
