What would you do if you forgot?
Forgot everything.
Forgot your family, your friends, your name. I can't even remember where I was last weekend let alone my whole 17 years on this planet, and even that's an estimation. It seems that's all I have left, questions and estimations.
What would you do if all your stupid ass brain can remember are some fast-approaching headlights and a slightly blurry, face peering down on you before everything went dark?
That's all my life is now. Darkness.
So I've succumbed to living it here in this antiseptic smelling, blindingly white hospital room with nothing but a strange boy for company.
Did I seriously have no one in my life that cared about me? And if that is true why would I want to go back?
Maybe I'm better off here, in the darkness.

They say what's in the past keep it in the past but I wanted to know all about my past. It was things that I didn't know and that I wanted and needed to know! But my life turned upside down when my past is exactly what I should have left alone. Now if you ask me how it all began, I don't exactly remember but I know it started when I moved in with my grandma who I haven't met in all my twenty years of living. I have been in and out of foster homes since I can remember, living with families I knew nothing about. Being the outcast and them constantly asking me what's wrong because I simply did not speak. The only thing that kept me sane was my good grades throughout school. I got the satisfaction of doing the one thing that people kept telling me over and over I couldn't do. I stayed to myself and graduated high school with honors, getting a full-ride scholarship to any college of my choice. Of course, by having this accomplishment, it didn't make it any easier for me between my foster families. To them, I became the girl who was better than them. But I didn't care because when I turned twenty I finally got to start making my own choices. This is where I wonder if the first choice I made was the right one. The first choice I made was to go live off-campus with my grandmother during my first semester in college. I ask myself how could I be so stupid? But you will see just how stupid I was. I don't get it. I really don't. I died, I get that much. But waking up in a dark and squishy place, with absolutely NO ROOM to move, I DON'T GET. Let's recap. It was a regular day. I got up, ate, showered and went to work. I was a police officer. I was checking out a house call about domestic abuse. I didn't even get to knock on the door before a man bursted out screaming at a women about calling the pigs on him. It didn't take much to figure out he was the abuser with the way he was holding her arm tight enough to bruise. I tried to diffuse the situation, told him to calm down and let her go. He didn't like that. In the end I got shot and died. Then I woke up in a small and dark space and freaked out. Then I get pushed out only to cry and realize I'm a baby.
