In this dystopian novella, countdown clocks are attached to your wrist at birth. They countdown to the exact moment you meet your soulmate, the exception: you cannot be a homosexual. Outcaster(s) is the term that was coined for them. The 'gay test' determines the sexuality you are born with and whether or not you deserve a soulmate. - The main character, Lucius is a teenager in high school with a wristband, but he carries a dark secret with him: he's gay. The countdown clock is nearing the time he meets his soulmate, but will he survive to enjoy it? - You would think people could just date and fall in love, but in this future where bracelets lead you to your soulmate, it just isn't that simple anymore. The story alternates between character's points of views throughout the novella, but it's mostly in Lucius' point of view.
