Thamina was not so normal as she believed, as she was shown when she was pulled from her home and sent to a world of magic, Kings, and fantastical beings. There, she discovers that she is an oddity, with her ability to see the Rukh and the way they seem to lead her into rather important, and often dangerous, situations. With a smart attitude and amnesia concerning her true history, she's hardly the messenger of Destiny she herself would have chosen. But, that is the task she has been given, and that is the one she will fulfil.

Chiyomaru is Inuyasha's younger twin sister, a mortal girl who's demonic powers were taken from her in the womb by Inuyasha. Only powers that remained was the ability to heal quickly and the long life. About a hundred years ago, Inuyasha decided that it would be best that he walk away with Chiyomaru, after all, Chiyo had a happy life journeying the world with her best friend, Reiki, a girl who is exactly like Chiyo but with the ability to see the future in mental images during her sleep. While she was gone, Naraku arrived planning to kill both girls but due to Reiki's dormant demonic powers and Naraku's recent awakening with his demonic powers, he could not fight off Reiki, and so he sealed her away. Upon returning, Chiyo learns what happened to her best friend and spends the next 50 years making herself stronger all while disguised as a man to make travel easier. Inuyasha is awakened and she searches all over the place for Inuyasha. After teaming up with Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku and Shippo, Chiyo leads the group to the demon slaying village where she once trained. They find the villagers slain before meeting Sango, who wished to kill Inuyasha who she believed killed her village. After seeing the truth, the group continues their journey to find Naraku and Chiyo crosses paths with the long foreseen true love that Reiki predicted that she'd meet one day, southern wolf demon tribe leader, Koga.
