In the beginning, there was a boy. A girl. And a beast.
For years, legends rumor that there is a beast roaming in the Péige Forest near a northern village in the kingdom. It is merciless, ruthless, and undeniably dangerous to all those who come near. Hundreds of men have attempted to kill it only to never be heard of again.
It has been a year since Mira's older brother has been gone after venturing off to kill the beast. And like all the others, everyone suspects he is dead and the pain comes right after when they find out that it is true. Determined to take revenge, her youngest sister goes off on her own into the Péige Forest to avenge her brother. Mira now has no choice but to save her siblings in a hunt that could very well end her life.
But when she gets separated from her family for good, nothing seems certain anymore. Not even the strange, kind man, who never reveals his identity, she met along the way. He promises to help her find her siblings only with the condition that she would not come close to him.

THIS BOOK IS COMPLETED but it will be HEAVILY EDITED and have things added to it in the future. I wrote this book when I was much younger. I didn't expect it to reach this amount of popularity so I will devote my time to bettering it in the future. ------------------ Every year, in our village and the neighbouring villages, we encounter, on what is suppose to be the most divine and celebrated day of the year, a visit from the 'big bad wolf'. At least that's what the children call him. Adults like to call him "inhuman" or a "wild ravenous monster". However, the majority settle for "beast". No one knows why he ruins this specific day for us, the day we can celebrate our species: werewolves. Some despise him for taking this day from us and forcefully exchanging our merry and joyful laughs to screams of fear. When that specific day of the year approaches us, none of us are ever prepared for it. He always comes at night. We are told to lock our windows, draw our curtains and our doors. We are told to hide. There's one main rule that we have: don't look at him. Because if you do, no one knows what'll happen to you. Maybe that's the worse part, not knowing your fate.
