Four years ago, then seventeen-year-old Brye Sutton lived a privileged life. Her father was the mayor of Camden Hills, Connecticut and her mother was the overprotective parent, putting her family’s needs before her own, except when it came to Brye’s choice of friends or her decision to date the son of the town drunk. Then their relationship became volatile. On a cold night in late November, screams emanated from 2395 Sycamore Street, alerting neighbors of the slaughter taking place inside. Now Brye is twenty-one and walking the streets of Camden Hills once again. Even though she has no recollection of the events of that fateful night, she’s confident she is able to put the tragedy behind her, she takes her Aunt and Uncle’s advice and enrolls in classes at the local Community College. She has no illusions that most of the residents still believe she is the murderer, but remains undaunted by their snide comments and evil glares. That is until her dearly departed loved ones have her questioning whether or not she could have actually done the unthinkable and ruthlessly butchered them. As their visits become more frequent, Brye’s grip with reality is tested. Are the apparitions real, or are they just hallucinations conjured up by an unstable mind? As she questions her own part in the slayings, it dawns on her that the killer is still out there and could very well be coming after her. Innuendo and paranoia ensue as she becomes increasingly unsure who she can trust in the pursuit of finding the murderer.

In the small college town of Greyheart, Meadow Marsden grew up under the weight of being the Sheriff's Daughter. That is until her Father died of a mysterious and very random heart attack. It's been a year since he died and Meadow is left picking up the pieces. She now wasn't just the town Sheriff's daughter whose Mother took off when she was only three, instead, she's the daughter of the late Sheriff and, technically, an orphan. Without her Dad, Meadow is coasting through the final semesters of college and trying to keep her mental capacity together. That is until she stumbles across an exquisite and exotic ring. It's not the design of the ring that makes it stand out the most, but the fact that it produces a beautiful neon blue hue and when worn, Meadow discovers she can see the dead. But not just any dead, it allows her to see the victims of similar fates as her Dad's. Mysterious heart attacks with little to no traces of heart-related issues prior. Of all the dead visitors the ring brings, Meadow quickly finds out that the ghosts are the last of her worries. Instead, her main and only concern is the person who claims the ring is his and he lost it. Hayze. The son of Hades, the God of the Underworld. Hayze claims the ring does more, it's a sentencing for souls, a talisman used to keep Hades's powers under control. Hades is away on vacation and has entrusted the ring to his only son. Meadow's only chance at seeing her Dad again and getting the truth about what happened to him is with that ring, but Hayze isn't leaving the world of the living without it. Even when the creatures seeking to take control of the ring appear. Meadow's in a fight for her life, the truth, and the acceptance that maybe everything she knew about herself isn't what she thought it was. With the odds against her, she can only lean on Hayze, but how do you trust a man known for the games he plays?
