"From ashes to ashes the phoenix is born, never to be forgotten, never to be torn." A translation from an ancient book that no long can be found. Legend says that the phoenix rose out of nowhere in a time of darkness and a fire burned bright within the bird, the shadows of the earth vanishing back into the crevices of the caves and cracks in the dirt. The sky was once again lit, and all thought that this hero would never be at a loss in their minds. The story would be told for generations to come-- but nothing more. Much like when a sun rises, the sun must fall to let darkness take its share to create balance and equality. This shadow loomed much too long. The people wondered where their sun had gone. When would their hero come again. The night remained still, unmoving. Abandonment. This is what the people felt they had been treated with. So they did not wait, as quickly as they praised the first hero, they brought up another individual to take their place, a simple human who claimed they could stop this darkness and bring light back to the earth.
And the sun rose again.
The people began to forget about the phoenix that rose to bring back the first lost light in the darkness that consumed them. Knowing that they did not have to live in fear of darkness anymore, they left it to a man to become the new hero with every generation, giving them the status as guardian, to protect them when the light began to fade.
Along with this lost book, the phoenix who saved them from the first crepuscule too was lost, never to be seen nor heard of again, for its tale was no longer spoken to be given any memory of.All Rights Reserved
