I brush my callused finger against the small tree. Blood smearing where my fingers tips had just been. This was new, untainted, not yet used by god's game called life.
"It'll be okay right? I mean all we did was murder a man who was only going to slaughter others.." I whisper smoothly to the tree. It gives no reply.
"Tsssk tsssk tsssk.. you know it's jussst you in that filthy head of yoursss. There is no 'we'. There never will be." I need not turn to find out who was behind me. I already knew it was just my inner darkness playing games with me. Trying to get a rise.
"Ah but you see I'll find someone like me and when I do it'll be the most magnificent moment in history. We will move on to kill great people. Many great people." I smile slyly at the little tree.

"What I was going to say was selfish..." He mumbled. I edge closer to him until my hand slowly cradled his cheek. Tilting his head up to look at me. "Please let me know what it was." I beg him pathetically. He begins to chew his lip and that's when I knew he was nervous. Nervous about what? I'm not exactly sure. "With everything I said...I was going to say at the same time...never...leave me." He confessed painfully almost. That's when I lost all sense of control and pressed my lips onto his. Kissing him with all my strength and all the built up desire that's accumulated. I continued to kiss him until at some point my tongue made it's way into his mouth. Tasting a sweet flavor that I've never encountered. As I got deeper in the kissing I feel myself fly back into a tree. Slammed against it that I felt myself lose my breath. Trying to catch it, I look up at Achille. His eyes were now a crimson red that intrigued me. He shook his head and suddenly he was gone in a blur. Confused, I stood as I had to pop my back from the hard hit into the tree. Looking in the direction Achille ran off, I knew I couldn't see him because it'd be a blur. Always thought it was fascinating how when he runs you can't see it. Being a vampire must be...fascinating. Yet he makes it out to be hell. I can't understand that kind of complicity of being a vampire and the issues. I get it, they drink blood. Though there's multiple things beside humans that offer blood! He acts like it's so horrific. I sighed heavily as I scanned the forest. I had heard something or someone to be specific, wandering about. I decided I would leave once I affirmed they weren't a danger. He growled, his minty-vodka breath fanning my face. With the hand not holding me in place, he softly touched my jaw. His rough calloused fingers and soft touch were a contrast to the anger seething from his body. It wasn't until then I remembered the bruises. "what do you mean?" I innocently asked, yanking my arm from his grasp. I tried to back away, but he held onto my chin with his fingers, glaring daggers into my eyes. His orbs suddenly turned a lighter shade, inspecting the damage done. "who hurt you?" His eyes not once left the bruises. I was ashamed but the anger boiling below my surface was becoming hotter and hotter and soon I would explode. "hickeys. Leave me the fuck alone, I'm fine." I said between teeth, pulling away once again. This time he took me by surprise, actually letting me walk away. I turned on my heel until he grabbed my shoulder and pulled me close. "That's not a hickey, I've seen hickeys. I've given hickeys. That is not a hickey. Now answer my damn question, who fucking hurt you!" At this point, the whole crowed turned to watch us. "You.
