Dean has a fairly easy life in Laurence, Kansas. A loving family, great friends, a good school. Almost anything he could ask for.

Castiel did not have any of these things. He had a small family and the family he had didn't want him. He moved away from everything he had known because he was no longer wanted by his mother and brothers.
