Artis Callista Sloane is meant for great things, but her anxieties may prevent her from reaching her full potential as a human being. Artis is the cliché, misunderstood teen, with fears bigger than she had ever imagined. 
Caroline Ryanne Maddock is Artis' mother. She sends Artis to therapy sessions in hopes that she can help her "just-might-be-insane" daughter. At the sessions, Artis connects with her inner demons, and realizes things about herself that could make or break her. 
Though Caroline sending her daughter to therapy was led by bad intentions, it may be the best thing she has done for her daughter yet.
