EXCERPT:
Walking into the restroom, I find Andy still hugging the toilet. Sighing, I sit next to him. I give him the water and Tylenol to take. After he's swallowed his medicine, I stand to go back to bed.
I suddenly feel a hand wrap around my wrist forcing me to a stop. "Baby, don't leave me again," turning to him I see Andy with tears in his drunken eyes. "I can't take seeing you walk away from me day after day."
A small sob escapes his throat and I feel myself start to cry. "I'm sorry, Andy. I just can't be hurt anymore."
"Please, just let me stay with you tonight," he whispers. He looks at me desperately, I can't bear to say no.
Nodding I say, "Okay. But brush your teeth you dip, your breath smells horrible." Smiling, he nods. "Oh, and Andy," I add, "wear pants." Once again he nods, this time laughing a little bit. "I'll be in my room."
