Dan Howell has always been bullied. Until he meets Phil Lester. Phil helps him through it, but soon he goes missing. Dan finds a letter addressed to him, from Phil himself. He can't bring himself to read it, knowing it will only make him miss Phil more. After a while, Dan gets over Phil - or at least he thinks he does. Then, out of the blue, Phil is back, just like he never left. Dan is overjoyed to have him back, but he still can't forgive him for leaving in the first place.
