To all readers old and new, this story will be soon taken down and re-written. Thanks for all the support. As soon as it is re-written, I will be sure to repost the chapters. Follow me for more information. Abigail Jenkins is a young African woman from Missouri in the early 1890's. She's caught wind of the Oklahoma Land Rush and now she's set her mind on getting a chunk of land for herself. She's tired of the high minded white people from her old town and she wants to take charge of her own life. She is well aware of all the risks she may face by going alone into unknown territory, but she's willing to take that chance to have a new start on life. Derek Greyson, on the other hand, is a man simply wanting a change in scenery. After his parents died, he'd been taking care of his little sister. But now that she's married, he's turned his attention away from his home in Texas, and to the Land Rush in Oklahoma. He finds himself in the dust ridden land with thousands of others, greedy for a piece of the land. What he didn't expect, however, was to meet a lively little African woman with a sharp tongue, deep chocolate eyes and a mountain load of prejudices against white men due to the murder of her little sister. What will he do when he finds himself falling for her, along with all of her emotional demons? And for Abigail, what will she do when the stranger with icy blue eyes and a charming smile decides to break all social norms just to be with her?

Abigail "Abby" Lee Emerson's life hasn't unfolded as she had hoped. Her childhood was filled with joy in a home where her parents were deeply in love. However, everything changed dramatically when her father, Lee, discovered that Bella, Abby's younger sister, was not his biological child. The situation worsened when he caught his wife cheating with another man. Nina, the mother of the two girls, now finds herself divorced and on drugs, jumping from man to man, and still living under the same roof as her ex-husband and children, although she's never around. She was sleeping around with other men without her husband knowing for years. Lee, Abigail's father, has become indifferent to his ex-wife Nina's actions. To him, she now holds no significance, which leads to his nightly bouts of excessive drinking. In his eyes, Nina has destroyed his life, and he has become apathetic towards everyone, including his daughter. His anger is often directed at Bella and Abby, especially when she tries to shield her younger sister. Abigail, known as Abby, works daily to provide for her family. Her family is Bella. Abby wants nothing to do with her mother when she's around or her father because of his actions. Abby works days and nights to make enough money for bills and food. Sometimes, it's not enough, but it doesn't matter to her as long as Bella is fed. On the day her world crumbles, Abby encounters Jace, a daunting figure who instills fear in her yet inexplicably captures her heart as he saves her from the turmoil of her home. Are there people like 'good murderers' and 'bad murderers'? Because in this story, there will definitely be a battle about it. Are supposedly 'good murderers' let off the hook? Why? After all they did kill someone right? Aiden Quinnell, a decently middle aged man, lost his wife to cancer recently. During his most darkest time, two college boys appear in his life. They turn the isolated depressed life into a cheerful one. They have the intentions of popularizing the story of Aiden's late wife Rachel, who seems to be a mysterious figure, meddling with everyone's lives. Both, the husband and wife were detectives, determined to solve the case of a killer amongst their own society. However each close lead turn into a dead end. This unfortunately makes them register the case as unsolved. Rachel was always a mysterious figure in Aiden's life, even though he fell in love with her during their college days together. She always seemed to have this manipulative control over him, but you couldn't call it toxic. Aiden was always in his senses when he did something for her. They both really were pillar opposites, he believed in law and justice, while she believed that if a job was done for the right causes it could be excused. Keeping all of this aside, this is Rachel's incomplete, yet Aiden's complete story. He finds closure, in the process of telling the mystery of the unsolved case. He finds the strength to heal his broken self in the process, after all, without Rachel he felt blind, deaf and dumb. As if his world disappeared in a snap of fingers. After reading all of this, what are you waiting for?? Jump right into the story, for this is a one which has all of the answers to Aiden's questions, moreover, your questions!!
