In one day, Trina loses her sight and her mom. Her dad, caught up in a wave of guilt, abandons her. Aunt Sydney, her mom's kind-hearted sister who owns a rabbit rescue, has one solution-bringing the eleven-year-old home with her to Arizona. But there's one ginormous problem. Trina doesn't want to go. She loves her family home and the vast hills behind her house. Also, her mom's grave is here. How could she say goodbye to her beloved mother? Unfortunately, Trina doesn't have another choice and is forced away from her hometown. She arrives in Arizona bitter and angry at the world. At least, until she meets Hope, a rescue bunny who can no longer walk. Soon she begins to heal, all thanks to the touch of a loving bunny and an aunt who lets her know that she will never, ever abandon her.
