No, Hazel didn't think she had a normal life. She knew her life would never be normal- after all, she could hear voices in her head and lived in an orphanage. However, her life gets even more not normal when she meets Ao and Oa Hina, who bring her into a battle group fighting in a war of magic. As it turns out, the voices are actually thoughts- that she reads from other people's minds! Along with Ao, Oa and a mess of other odd characters, Hazel must fight against the army of the dark, which seeks to plunge the world into eternal darkness. So no, Hazel Strauss is not normal. Then again, who really is?

Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. It was like we were playing a sick game of chess, trying to guess each others movement's and at the same time, worrying about our own. I didn't have a choice and was forced to say "Game on bitch." -------------------------------- Life for Juniper was never easy, even as a child. Her family was complicated, and she herself has always suffered from mental illneses that made her days hard enough as it was, not just for her but for her drug addict skitzophrenic father and bipolar alcoholic mother. As she kept growing up, the world around her became darker and darker until, at the age of sixteen, a man with a dark shadow and distorted, spine chilling voice infiltrated her nightmares, with the promise to bring her agony and pain if she did not do as he said. Now, Juniper is forced to act fast, for her life hangs by a thread. She must uncover the truth of her past, look past the lies of her parents and her own childhood, and fill in the blanks whilst dealing with loud voices in her head, shadows that follow her every move, and a man who she must obey in order to save her sanity, her life and herself. The question still remains, who is this strange man who threatens her very existence? Will she be able to stop him before he kills her, before he traps her in the darkness forever? Will she whistand the torture, will she handle it all? Or will she snap, will she bend and break like her father did, and his father before him? Because, after all, we are all fragile humans, there is only so much we can take. -------------------------------- * Contains swearing, may be triggering and is undergoing mayor editing . * Best Ranking: #1- Skitsofrenia #2- Alluring

The world’s old Gods lie dormant, imprisoned for centuries in a timeless rift. For many years they have accepted the fate of their actions, yet the people who still roam freely have not. A small sect of fanatical magicians, led by Bellack, a sinister and heartless spell weaver have not forgotten the powers that the old Gods once possessed and seek to secure their God Queen’s release to gain both her love and immortality. With the discovery of a large crystal deep in the Tanarian mines, the sect believes it has found a catalyst for their powers to break free their Queen. They will stop at nothing to acquire the crystal and, after their offers are refused, drag nations to war for their dark aim. Using their magic to tip the scales of war in their favour they force an order of Generals, the Su-Katii warrior elite to their will, as they alone will hold the key to victory in this war. Only Barrad a new initiate to the Su-Katii luckily escapes the brotherhoods control. The stage is set, but Tamar a renegade wizard, has subtly been working for years against their cruel plan. He recruits Barrad and an escaped slave Tress to aid his cause, she is a highly resourceful and accomplished thief with the ability to destroy the brotherhood’s dreams. Bellack’s magic unwittingly reveals a new possibility to achieve his goal – Athene, a sweet young girl oblivious to her past and the power that surrounds her. Realising her potential, Bellack unleashes an unstoppable warrior from a forgotten time to hunt down and apprehend Athene. Following their hearts, an unusual alliance is formed to struggle against the forces tearing their world apart. An enemy can be a friend, and a friend, an enemy.

We all have those weird dreams where we fight dragons, dream of a 'happily ever after'...or in my cousin Alice's case; make friends with a unicorn that literally poops edible rainbow candy. Alice and I, along with our friend Zero, help my aunt and uncle clear out their basement during spring break while they went away for their wedding anniversary. It all started when I ever so gracefully (but accidentally) tripped over a cupboard box (which in my defence, I never knew was there) with the words: 'Fragile - DO NOT TOUCH', written in black marker all over the box. While Alice and I were arguing, Zero tried to grab our attention. When he finally did, we were surprised to see him being sucked into a freakin' green swirling portal! Turns out, inside the box I tripped over had a crystal ball rolled out of it, and glowed a bright green. That was when we realised that that crystal ball, was the reason why a portal appeared and was trying to pull us in. And of course...I got separated from them, didn't I? Would you believe me if I told you we entered the world of our favourite movie when we were kids? You know...the Dreamworks movie, Shrek? The one with the fairy tale and Disney characters in? Yep, that's the one! Oh, sorry! I almost forgot to introduce myself: My name's Willow, and this is the story of our journey in the world of Shrek - creating bonds with Shrek himself, Fiona, Donkey and the gang...heck, even Dragon, too! What could possibly go wrong?
