Annie Diadem lives in the small city of Kade, Texas. Annie just finished her senior year. As her friends left for vacation, Annie promises her friends that she would have an amazing summer, even though they would not be together. As Annie would soon find out, this summer was going to be amazing indeed. Annie gets home and goes to her room to change into a tank top and shorts. Much later that night, after her adoptive parents came home and dinner had been served, the house was quiet as Annie retreated to her room to shower and sleep. *CRASH* Annie awoke with a startle. As her senses became more aware, she heard her parents arguing with an unknown voice. Hearing more crashes and shattering of valuable pottery, Annie was torn between helping her parents or planning her escape. Two loud bangs echoed through the house. With that, Annie's heart caught in her throat as she fought desperately within herself to find the strength to escape this nightmare. Loud shouts from unfamiliar voices downstairs brought her out of her daze.
