Stella Pots had been living with Tony Stark ever since she was seven. Her parents had died in an accident and nobody would take her in even though she was a very intelligent individual. After being switched from relative to relative, she ended up with her Aunt, Pepper Pots. Pepper couldn't take care of Stella so she was somehow able to convince Tony to take her in after she left. Tony accepted, realizing that Stella didn't need to be continuously watched over and taken care of- she was an independent person. Still, Tony had her trained on how to fight and many other things. (Based off the Iron Man 2 movie and will soon move into the Avengers movie) [second part of story is called Avengers Underdog]

Tony fears that Pepper might leave him and take Emma with her because she's had enough, especially when she gets visited by an old interest, Killian. After Happy Hogan was severely injured by one of the bombings, an angry Tony gave a threatening promise to Mandarin on the news, which later caused a terrorist attack on Tony's own house, with Pepper and Emma inside. Everyone was left thinking Tony was dead, but he left Pepper and Emma a message, telling them he was alive. They have the same mother, but different dads (their mom died in her sleep suddenly when Penny was six months old and their dad died in a car accident when she was five and Peter was 8. For some reason Peter got to stay with Aunt May but Penny was placed with her dad's brother and wife. They abused her for eight years (physically and mentally). When Aunt May dies Tony gets government permission to be Penny's and Peter's legal guardian. The story starts when Penny go to live with Tony. She doesn't know Peter is Spiderman.
