In the very heart of an old, run-down Theatre Club is a handful of daring young people whom their professor, Monty, treasures over all other things in his life. When he falls ill, all five of them team up with Monty's son to do the things their teacher loved as a young man, and the things he never got round to doing, to remind him of the man he has forgotten; rallies, speeches, getting tattoos, protests, playing music, performing on Broadway. They call themselves the Wildflower Society, a group dedicated to being brave and bold.
Though, no matter how invincible they might feel, time will never be in anybody's control.

Then he gets word that his cat, Bernie, just died and he can collect him and bring him home!
