"I think i might need to pick up another job." Anaise says looking into the fridge. "There's literally no food, but this jar of pickles."

Laisha scrunches up her nose. "Ew. Liz can you please turn on the lights, it's getting dark."

Liz flips the switch, but the room doesn't light up. "Dani, did you pay the electricity bill?"
Dani, who is sitting on the floor playing with our dog Paisley, sighs.

"No, I don't get paid until tomorrow."

Anaise, Laisha, Danielle, and Liz have been friends since the 7th grade. Lots of things have changed since then. Now as freshmen in college, lots of things have changed, but the fact that they're still trying to get their band's music out there, hasn't.

They have studies, jobs, a dog to take care of, and late night gigs, but with the money they get just doesn't add up to what they need. That's until their lives turn around when Dani and Laisha find out long held secrets from their parents.

This is this story of 4 friends that are broke in the busy city of Los Angeles and how they make the most of what they have.
