After studying various authors and works of the time period of the 1920s known as The Harlem Renaissance, I created a piece originally given as a school homework assignment, but I added just a little bit more depth to the work. This piece was inspired by various poets and authors of the time period including Langston Hughes, Countee Cullen, Zora Neale Hurston, etc. I was also eager to write in a rythm method inspired by great jazz musicians such as Myles Davis, Louis Armstrong, etc. Enjoy.All Rights Reserved
